Who We Are

Musical Company Tirana was created out of the necessity to establish a live-performing musical theater in Albania. Young people love and seek out this genre, both talented performers and audiences interested in this contemporary form of professional music. 

Musical theater is the most demanding genre of musical performance, as it combines several artistic disciplines simultaneously: singing, acting, and dancing.

These projects give young people the opportunity to professionally learn musical performance and provide them with seasonal employment opportunities.

This initiative began in the summer of 2021, when my wife — soprano Linda Kazani — and I organized a two-week masterclass in musical theater repertoire with students from the Faculty of Music at the University of Arts. Following this masterclass, we staged the first musical concert under the direction of conductor Suzana Turku, Stage director Milto Kutali, and choreographer Roberto Nuha. The songs were orchestrated by Jusiald Xhani and performed by the band supervised by Decibel Audio Company.

With the projects that followed — Mamma Mia, Broadway Night, Jesus Christ Superstar, High School Musical, and We Will Rock You — we have taken major and confident steps toward creating a live musical theater show.

Young graduates from the University of Arts who have not yet found their place in the Albanian job market are, and will continue to be, the main protagonists of our projects.

These productions are the result of collaborations with various producers and organizations such as EVENTUS, BASHART, KULTALB, Liceu Artistic „Jordan Misja“, and MUZA.
